Cozy cafe along the waterfront. Lovely ambiance with outdoor seating available. We stopped in for breakfast. The cafe was quite empty early in the day. They were out of scones and muffins. Our breakfast was quite good. The server was attentive. I had the pancake which was delicious. Note that there is a 20% service fee added to every bill.
My experience was so mixed. My server was great. He was friendly and on top of everything. The place was cute and clean. When I walked in, I didn’t feel welcome. I felt like I was bothering them. The bartender complained to the staff the entire time I was there. Kind of ruined the ambiance of the place and experience. I tried the Chilaquiles and they were good. The best part was my server and I wish I would’ve asked his name.
Overall, I had a great experience here. It’s a cozy spot to come with family, a friend or three, or by yourself to read a book while enjoying some great food. I ordered the salmon, which came with bok choy; plus a side of broccolini. It was all cooked to perfection. The teriyaki flavor on the salmon could possibly be considered a bit too salty by some, but I thought it was perfect. I did not regret a single bite. If there was any suggestion I’d have, it would be to give the option for a little less teriyaki sauce. The server was kind and attentive. The only very slightly negative part of the experience was confusion as to whether I should wait to be seated or just sit down myself. I didn’t see any signs, so I just picked a cozy spot to sit and it was fine. That minor confusion was well outweighed by the rest of the experience.
