We visited for the first time on a Saturday night after 8:00 p.m. in early August. No wait but we did call ahead before we went. Drinks are about $13 and up; cod fish cakes were spicy but they were good a bit thick with little codfish but still good. Goat (meat about 3 tablespoons but it was spicy and nicely seasoned) meal was about $27 Jerk steak was approx $45 Oxtail Mac and cheese was pretty good; food was a bit slow in coming out. Nice vibe Park in the Island Supermarket parking lot in the back. IMO not for kids just grown folk; casual dress. I’ll Visit again when it’s not in the evening and see see if the service is different.
I haven’t eaten in Hush again since it first opened. So we decided to go and try there once amazing oxtails. The reason for the three for food was not only the long wait for the food. The plate came out warm, but the food was cold. Thank goodness we had an appetizer (coconut shrimp), which was amazing! The waiter we had was amazingly good at her job! The drinks were definitely a ten! Run punch regular and my first time getting a coconut rum punch! Which I definitely recommend! Do expect to spend around fifty dollars per person. That’s just a meal and drink. Expect to spend more if you get an appetizer. The bill I had was 168.00, two oxtails, two drinks, and an appetizer . There is a food tax on the bill, and automatically, a gratuity of 18 % for the waiter or waitress. There is no SMOKING OR VAPING ALOUD! This restaurant does not offer hookah.
Came out with my mom for a quick dinner. The cook did not wear any gloves. He picked up chicken and tortilla by hand, rubbed his nose etc. I made a complaint to the waiter who shared it with the owner. The cook put gloves on for 4 mins and took it off. I did not eat. The owner did not have the courtesy to acknowledge me. Needless to say the owner is tacky and unprofessional. Would not recommend this establishment. The waiter was pleasant and attentive.
