If you’re looking for a place in the market to sit and relax while you break for a meal, Friedman’s is a good spot to do just that. Many other food options in the market do not have their own seating, so if it’s really busy, you will be looking around for seating for some time. The food was good at Friedman’s, but as others have noted, the prices are a bit high for what you get. We got the crispy chicken sandwich and the crab cake sandwich. Both came with fries but the chicken sandwich could have used more sauce. It was busy in the market and also a hot day when we went, so it was also pretty hot inside the restaurant. The water did not come with ice either. We were seated quickly but had to wait about 15 minutes before a server came by. I’m between a 4 or 5 star rating as there was nothing wrong with the experience but it was overall pretty average. The time we spent there was good but perhaps not good enough to have left a mark to look forward to returning.
I came to this location by mistake, but I’m happy I did! In the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday, I was surprised there was no wait even though it’s inside of Chelsea Market. The only downside of this location is that it is in Chelsea Market— it’s a little more crowded and loud. Otherwise, this location is even faster than the others! Service was great and the food was excellent! Gluten free and celiac places are so hard to come by and I’m so happy there are so many locations! Best part is gluten free fries and fried goods!! Very affordable too, we got two lunches under $20 each.
Let me start by saying this place is good but over priced, the staff were great, attentive, friendly and professional. The food was fresh, tasty and good quality. The burger prices tag as shown on the picture was 36 with fries, total price 61 dollars plus tip which they use the automated tip system so total bill was around 72 dollars, I found it excessive for the type of place but we were pleased with the food, I would say if you on the budget there’s better options.
