Classic, elegant,modern and feels like home. Delicious Austrian food and friendly service. Love cabaret nights,museum a store cross the hall. Waiting line moves fast, but recommend to make reservation in advance for upstairs. Downstairs seating no reservations needed.

Cafe Sabarsky is one block away (85th Street) from one of the many entrances to Central Park found on 5th Avenue. For that reason I have included some of the photos I took after I used that closest entrance. Each photo I have submitted here was not far (with the total walking distance being less than a half mile) from that entrance. I ordered the goulash ($42) as my main course, it was tender, but had little taste. It came with a choice of either creamy spaetzle, roasted potatoes or salad. I chose the roasted potatoes which also had little taste. The cakes that I photographed, but did not try, and are on display in this review, were refrigerated and on display in this restaurant.
