Missy's Main Street Cafe

Small casual place, about ten tables and five counter seats. We had to wait about ten mins which isn’t bad from what I’ve heard it could be. However, their system of making sure people are sat in order should be used. When we first walked in the one girl just told us to wait as they had people leaving in the next couple of minutes. But there were people who came before us and then after us and then when another girl walked over she was trying to figure out who came first and had to back track through the four parties standing there at the time. Food was decent. I would go back to try other things. The PB&J French toast could have used more peanut butter, but I loved that you had different options of jelly to choose from. My husband’s waffle came with raspberry syrup which he did not use so I see for my French toast which was amazing. Jersey Devil bites were our favorite part of the meal!

Small place..Not fancy but nice vibe and great food. If I lived here it would be one of my usual spots. It’s that good and that comforting. I had the garlic mash – great filling portion of tasty food. The chick with me had pancakes and despite raving on how good they were she couldn’t finish. Definitely worth the visit!

Overall not a bad spot at all. I’d say the omelette shined; well done, tasty, a good size, and accompanied by tasty home fry style potatoes and nicely toasted/buttered multigrain bread. No complaints there. The french toast however, left a bunch to be desired. It was very dry, not sure if they use the store bought dipped/cooked french toast and then just warm it up on the griddle or if they actually soak their own bread and cook it for real, but it just wasn’t a good french toast at all. For $9 I felt a little silly paying for it; wouldn’t get it again. The omelette and potatoes carried though.
