Finally! Visited on a rainy day which made the waiting time shorter. Overall slightly pricy; heavy tastes, salty and sweet. I won’t say it’s a must but recommend to ppl who like to try a different kind of pancake. ❕No platters, kinda like a build-your-own-plate. Everything’s single plate goes by itself. ❗️They don’t take reservations, and don’t take numbers. You wait in line. We went on a rainy Sunday, arrived 11ish am and got our seats within 30 mins. Pancakes were made with oat so don’t compare them with regular ones. It was more moist and mushy. Flavors were all sweet. I think it was good enough to try once! Burger was good too, but I mean the cheese and egg part. It was well cooked with melting cheese. Sausage was a little bit too hard. Hash brown was a classic, big block and deep fried. Scrambled egg was ok, a little bit expensive.
I like sweets, but I found the pancakes were unbearably sugary. The pink lady cakes barely had any discernible apple. Order at the counter, get a number to receive your food. The ambience is nice, especially close to the windows, but the pancakes they are famous for are a no go for me.
I was originally skeptical of this famous breakfast spot, but @breakfastbysaltscure has really impressed me! Both the OG and the banana nut oatmeal griddle cakes were so delicious and moist in the inside. The banana flavor was permeated in the cake batter itself, so if you don’t want the flavor to be so strong then maybe get the OG.
